Why do guys like girls that are not interested?

okay there is this guy i USED to like he knew i liked him. i knew there was no hope so i stopped like him, then he start to like me... i started to like him again coz i found out he was a good artist then he stop like me. then i stopped like him coz this is getting stupid now and guess what he likes me again like wtf...
