Is there no bus or train that allows dogs?

that also goes to canada... i am going to canada in hopefully a month or sooner.. but i've looked into the greyhound bus.. amtrak train.. they will take me to canada but i'll have to ship my dog seperately.. they only allow service animals and i just think thats stupid. if you can have a carry on that will fit under your feet, why can't they allow a small pet in a carrier too?? i mean esp. if they aren't loud or disturbing other people.. i'm so terrified of loosing my baby if i ship her seperate.. and it's not like i can fake being deaf or blind or anything...lol... not that i would consider it.. :p but i need to find something. please help..
